Quick start

After you download

Three simple things to do once the client is on your machine.

Install the client

Run the downloaded file and follow the short installer. The portable option needs no installation at all.

Point to your server

In the client settings, enter your self-hosted server address so devices connect through your own infrastructure.

Share your ID

Give your ID and password to a partner — or enter theirs — and start a secure remote session.

System requirements

Light footprint

Runs comfortably on any modern computer. The client uses minimal CPU and memory during sessions.

Network access

An internet connection is needed to reach machines outside your local network through your server.

Your own server

To use Bitan Remote fully self-hosted, you set up the server component on a machine or cloud instance you control.
